JAKARTA (sijori.id) - Citilink proudly announces that it has officially become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline association representing more than 350 airlines worldwide. This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening Citilink’s position as a national carrier aligned with international aviation standards.

The official admission was commemorated through a membership certificate presentation ceremony held at Citilink’s Head Office on Wednesday (October 8). The event was attended by Citilink’s executive management team and representatives from IATA.

“Joining IATA is a historic milestone for us. It reflects Citilink’s commitment to continuously improving service quality, flight safety, and operational efficiency in line with international standards,” said Darsito Hendroseputro, President & CEO of Citilink.

Sheldon Hee, IATA’s Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific, welcomed Citilink’s membership, saying:

“We welcome Citilink as an IATA member. As the association of the world’s airlines, IATA represents a diverse range of carriers, including low-cost airlines. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with Citilink and seeing their active participation in shaping the industry’s agenda, priorities, and initiatives in Indonesia and across the Asia-Pacific region.”

As part of the membership process, Citilink successfully obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration — a globally recognized standard for operational safety. The IOSA certification evaluates an airline’s management systems and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with the highest safety standards.

Achieving IOSA registration reinforces Citilink’s dedication to making flight safety its top priority. With this achievement, Citilink now stands on par with leading international airlines in implementing world-class safety practices.

As an IATA member, Citilink gains access to a wide range of programs, global standards, and collaborative networks that support operational excellence and industry growth. This membership also opens opportunities to enhance connectivity, improve passenger experience, and support the Indonesian government’s initiatives to expand the country’s international aviation network.

Citilink is committed to leveraging this milestone to further strengthen its competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic aviation industry. By upholding international standards and best practices, Citilink aims to deliver safer, more comfortable, and more reliable travel experiences for all passengers.
