PTDI Support Bali Economic Transformation
BALI (sijori.id) - As a strategic plan launched by the Ministry of PPN RI/Bappenas in 2021 to develop the economic sector in Bali, PTDI as the only national aviation industry takes its role in the development of the aviation industry ecosystem in the Province of Bali in order to support Kerthi Bali Economic Transformation.
Collaboration on the development of the ecosystem of the aerospace industry in the Province of Bali was strengthened through the signing of the Joint Agreement document between four parties, namely Bappenas, the Provincial Government of Bali, Pemkab Buleleng and PTDI at the Wisma Sabha Building, the Bali Governor's Office (16/2).
Bali is the second region where PTDI was given the opportunity by Bappenas to participate in the national economic transformation program through optimization of the utilization of PTDI's N219 aircraft produced after previously in the Riau Islands, where for the development of the aerospace industry ecosystem in Bali this time will start by developing the Aviation Training Tourism concept.
"These activities will provide added value to the Province of Bali, especially in promoting the creation of jobs that are expected to have a positive impact on Bali's economic growth, as well as not less importantly is improving the quality of human resources, especially in the field of high-tech aviation," explained Gita Amperiawan, PTDI General Director.
On this occasion, PTDI represented by Director Trade, Technology & Development, Moh Arif Faisal also signed cooperation agreement for development of aviation training centre with BIFA; development of MRO facility for aircraft with MS Tech; development of Mro facility for aircraft engine & propulsion with its Affiliate, in this regard PT NTP; and flight tourism development in Bali with Wise Air.
The development of the aerospace ecosystem in Bali is a strategic initial step in the successful commercialization of the N219 aircraft, in addition to the further development of the basic version of the N219. into the amphibious version that will begin in early 2024 with the full support of Bappenas, which will then play an important role in the upgrade the connectivity of the Bali region, especially as a tourist hub of Indonesia.
